SHOP LOCAL THIS HOLIDAY!

Downtown Alliance, The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County and Cool Spring Downtown District have come together to enhance the efforts of our downtown businesses with a full suite of holiday events, to include aiding in the annual Dickens Holiday presented by The Arts Council on November 26th.

The Downtown Alliance is happy to host Small Business Saturday on November 27th (all-day) with of course a special holiday Farmer’s Market from 9am-1pm at Fayetteville History Museum. In an effort to boost up all of our local businesses, we are producing a Holiday Gift Guide this year, which can be viewed on this page soon, and will be available at select participating shops on Small Business Saturday.

We are excited to bring back The Green Grump Who Stole Foo Ville on Dec. 11th from 1-4pm.

There will be appearances by The Green Grump (The Grinch) and Cindy Lou-Who, who will be walking around for perfect photo-ops. We will plan an outdoor scavenger hunt again this year to get folks traveling around downtown in their Christmas gear!

Lastly, Cool Spring Downtown District will plan the storefront decorating competition again, Light Up Our City. This event was created as an effort to draw visitors downtown to see the lights/decorations as well as encouraging them to continue to shop local during the holiday season.
